(evidence of our slight pillow obsession)
Despite this clearly obvious preference for pillows, I was drawn in by the beautiful ring bowls I had seen on WeddingBee, in Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine.. everywhere. All made by Paloma's Nest.

They're so perfect. And you can get customized ones with whatever words you want. And they could serve as a ring-holding bowl pre- and post-wedding, which is something I actually kind of need.
Then my mom reminded me that, as cute and perfect as they are, our ring-bearer will be just over 2 years old by the time of the wedding. Even though he's very well-behaved, and looks a lot older than he is, he will still only be two. And even though it will be on grass, he could probably throw something like that hard enough to break it.
So I knew that I would be looking for a ring-bearer pillow at some point. I wasn't actively looking, but one WeddingBee board posting pointed me in the direction of Etsy seller KarenYee.

This one is gorgeous, and in our colors! I love the brooch, but it still seems a little too "ring-bearer" pillow to me.. So there's also..

This gorgeous pillow! Forget ring-conveyance, I just want this pillow in my house. I love the flowers, the little butterflies that hold the ribbons, the colors.. everything.
Just a couple more to show you how gorgeous these are. And they're pretty affordable too, at around $48 per pillow ($40 + $8 shipping). With all that amazing Indian silk, I'm sure they feel pretty incredible, too.

That last pillow makes me want to change my colors to pink! .. Which actually, I'm thinking about adding to the palette anyway (uhm, I love peonies, and they don't come in purple!) .. so maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all :-)
What are you using to bear your rings (fake or otherwise) down the aisle? Are you going traditional with the pillow or something else?
